Description
This shaft assembly is interchangeable with the shaft assembly that comes with the BenchTapper. They exist as an extra option if you want to use a #8 tap. They can be stored in the extra hole in the body of the Bench Tapper.
These are reamed .1695″ and will ONLY fit a #8 tap. If you are using a #6 or smaller tap, you need the STANDARD tapping shaft (the size that comes with the Bench Tapper).
Product Details:
- The turning knob is machined from billet aluminum
- The tapping shaft is machined from 303 stainless.
- The shaft is reamed to accept a tap with a 9/64 shank.
- We use OSG taps and they all have 7/64 shanks from #00 thru #6.
- The tap is held in place with (2) set screws
This product is for the tapping shaft only and DOES NOT include the Bench Tapper body.
